What To Expect

What do people at Millgrove wear to church?

Millgrove Bible Church does not have a dress code. Each person wears what is comfortable to him or her. On any given Sunday, you will find people wearing shorts and t-shirts sitting next to others who are wearing suits and dresses. Our primary concern at Millgrove Bible Church is the spiritual, not the physical.

What can I expect of the service?

The service at Millgrove Bible Church is about 75 minutes long and the worship is blended, utilizing both new and old songs, usually accompanied by piano or keyboard, sometimes combined with guitar or other instruments. The sermons are geared toward life-change in Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit and are usually expository. The NIV is used from the pulpit, but we do not have an “official” translation. We use projectors for song lyrics, sermon points, and displaying other information.

Is there anything for my children?

Currently, we offer Children’s Church during the morning service for 3 yr olds through 1st grade children. Children’s Church runs the full length of our worship service. We also offer Junior Church for 2nd graders through 5th graders. Children are dismissed to Junior Church from the worship service before the sermon.

We also hold Sunday School classes for all ages. Sunday School begins at 11 am.

Youth Group for 6th-12th graders meets twice a month on Monday evenings.

What if I want to keep my children with me in the service?

We love children at Millgrove Bible Church, and they are always welcome in the service. We know that sometimes children get noisy, and we want you to know that if your children do get noisy, it will probably bother you more than it bothers us. We have a crying room at the back of our sanctuary in case you feel the need to make a hasty retreat.

Where should I park?

We are excited to have you join us at Millgrove Bible Church, and we are expecting you. You are free to park anywhere in the large parking lot, but we have a several parking spaces reserved for you near the building. They are marked by signs that label them as visitor parking.

Is the building handicap accessible?

Millgrove Bible Church is handicap accessible through the western door closest to the parking lot. Inside this door, you will find an elevator that can take you either floor. We also have several parking spaces that are reserved handicap parking. Please feel free to use these.

How will I know where to go?

In the main foyer, we have several people who will greet you. If you have children, they can take you to the nursery, Children’s Church, and Junior Church rooms. They can also answer any other question you might have. If you find yourself lost with no greeter in sight, ask anyone. People at Millgrove Bible Church are friendly and can direct you anywhere you need to go.

Will I be singled out during the service?

When you arrive at Millgrove Bible Church, you will be greeted by greeters. A number of people will probably stop by your seat and introduce themselves to you before and after the service. However, you will not be singled out and made to feel uncomfortable during the service. We want you to feel welcome and safe at Millgrove Bible Church.
