Welcome! My name is Joshua Vogt. I have been a believer since 2000, in ministry since 2007, and here at Millgrove Bible Church since 2012. Let me share with you my personal view of the church.
For starters, we are a church that believes that God has spoken to mankind by his Word, the Holy Bible. Within the Bible, we find purpose and meaning for the lives that we live on this earth. We learn that there is a God who created us and loves us and wants to have a relationship with us. We learn that we are all sinners and fall far short of being worthy of that relationship. Most amazing of all, we find that God loved us enough to take upon himself the consequences of our sin, so that through faith in his Son, Jesus Christ, we could have that relationship after all. And that is exactly what gives us purpose.
However, that purpose goes far beyond merely a trip to heaven. God desires to do so much in the lives of His children here on earth. At the time of salvation, the Holy Spirit comes and lives within the believer. This enables the believer to have a growing relationship with God, something that is meant to be felt and experienced on a daily basis. Many Christians think that once they are saved, it is all up to them to live a good life, to “do better.” It is no more possible to do better than it is to save ourselves. We believe that it is only through the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives that we are able to grow in this relationship, and that growth is encouraged at Millgrove Bible Church. Our desire is to see people changed by God, and to see those people continuingly changing by God as they grow closer to God.
We are not a perfect church, because a church consists of people, and people are imperfect. However, we strive to offer at Millgrove Bible Church a place where people have the freedom to grow in the Lord. We are a church that loves the Lord, loves people, and loves what the Lord can do in people. If you are seeking a spiritually growing church, a place where you will be challenged in your own walk with Christ, and a place where you will be loved by people who are in the midst of the same journey on which you find yourself, then I would encourage you to come and join us.
