Our values

We are Christ-Centered and Gospel-Driven Church

Having professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we now seek to go on and learn all the wonderful promises that Christ provides in His gospel. As believers, we stay at the foot of the cross, never moving on to something new or different for our power and hope. In the gospel we find the pattern of righteous living for today. In the gospel we also find the power to live righteously before God and men. It is the gospel that also gives us the promise and hope of overcoming death in the future.

We are Missional

We seek the salvation of our families and friends and the community in which we live, work, learn and play. We are zealous in our efforts to proclaim Christ and Him crucified in a culturally relevant way. We are students of the Gospel—knowing what we believe and why we believe it. We are also Christian apologists. We see to defend the faith by removing mental hindrances that can stand between a person and faith in Christ.

We Support Missions

We seek to support the work of spreading the Gospel through all the nations.

We Encourage the Family

We believe that the family is the primary means God has ordained for the purpose of passing on the “faith which was once for all delivered” to our children (Jude 3). We seek to come alongside parents as they train up their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Eph 6:4). Per our church covenant, we, as church members, seek to maintain family devotions for the purpose of educating our children spiritually.

We Seek to Live Righteously Before the World and in our Church

The Bible describes our sin as our greatest enemy. Though sin still indwells us [can control us], Christ’s death has broken its power to control and enslave us. It is important for us to increasingly live free from sin’s control and see practical righteousness developing in our lives.

We Believe That God Answers Prayer

The Bible instructs us to pray without ceasing. We seek not only to preach the importance of prayer but to practice it as well.

We Use Our Spiritual Gifts

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit has given all Christians abilities to be used for strengthening the church and encouraging and edifying other believers. It is important to us that all believers understand and exercise their gifts in service to Christ and His church.

We Desire to be Humble before God and People

The Bible tells us that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). In all things we seek to maintain an attitude of humility, relying on God’s strength and not becoming conceited in our learning and abilities. We strive to be mindful that all we have we have indeed received (1 Cor 4:7). Our humility before God is marked by reverence toward Him and reliance upon Him. Our humility before men manifests itself as we seek to esteem others as better than ourselves as we look out for their interests (Phil 2:3-4).

We Promote Sound Doctrinal Teaching with an Emphasis on Application

Teaching and preaching of the Bible is necessary for the church to grow, minister, and remain in the Truth. It is important to us for the Bible to be consistently taught in a way that reflects sound hermeneutical principles in order to build sound doctrine and be the basis of committed and passionate Christian living.

We Seek to be Good Stewards of God’s Resources

We seek to regularly give of our financial resources as the Lord prospers us for the support of the ministry and expenses of the church and to the spread of the Gospel throughout all the nations.
